For today’s post, I though I’d review some more beautiful brushes.
This is an 8 piece colorful “bling” brush set. How pretty are these colors together? Wowzer.
This sit comes packaged in a clear plastic sleeve and each brush is individually sleeved in plastic as well. The first thing I noticed when I opened these brushes is how sturdy they feel. The bristles, handles and ferrules – it all feels like amazing quality. When I washed them before use, they all held up so well. I expected the pink bristles to color the water a little bit, but it didn’t happen once, which means the bristles aren’t dyed and harmful to your skin.
I love the ferrules. The blue color merging into purple is so so eye catching. These brushes feel amazingly comfortable in my hand, and I dare say it is definitely one of my top 5 favorite brush sets from Best Beauty Buys.
This brush is absolutely fantastic to apply foundation. The tip is very full, thus being a tad similar to a buffing brush.
This brush is great for setting concealer underneath the eyes with powder. It’s also so good at applying blush, bronzer and highlighter as well as foundation and concealer. It’s one of those multi tasking brushes you can pop into your makeup bag and be sorted, without having to carry a bunch of face brushes around. It’s of my favorite brush in the set.
As you can see, this brush is a little on the thicker side, so I use only the side of the brush to contour – this way I get more precision. It picks up a LOT of product so just be sure to tap off excess.
Small Detailer Brush:
This brush is exactly like the Real Techniques setting brush, only this one is bigger. I absolutely adore it for highlighter, blush topper and dusting bronzer on my forehead to add dimension and warmth to my face.
As you guys can see, this brush is not flimsy like most other fan brushes. It’s “fuller” and much better, in my opinion. It applies your highlight without much effort because of how sturdy and non-flimsy it is. I told you guys, this brush set is such great quality. I am shook.
Small Face And Eye Brushes:
Pointed Detailer Brush:
Great for “drawing” on contour lines and spot concealing. It’s very sturdy and precise.
Large Eyeshadow Shading Brush:
Because this brush is so big, I like to use it to set my eye primer with powder because all it takes is one swipe and it covers my entire lid.
Flat Eyeshadow Brush:This brush is great for “carving” out the eyebrows or packing on eyeshadows onto your lids – especially shimmer shades.
The brushes are synthetic and again, amazing amazing quality. The only con with this set is the coating sort of flakes off on the ferrules. Other than that though, this set is completely worth it.
I definitely, highly recommend you guys pick up this set. It retails for only R195 on sale here. Seeing that it has a brush similar to the Real Techniques setting brush which costs about R150 alone, this 8 piece set is a total steal. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, I am positive you guys will enjoy this set as much as I did.
Until next time.
Let’s be friends!
